Swedish to open South Lake Union Clinic

Swedish Medical Group will open a new clinic at Amazon.com Inc.’s new headquarters in Seattle’s South Lake Union neighborhood.

The Seattle health care provider will open a 14,000-square-foot clinic at the corner of Mercer and Boren streets in mid-April. The clinic will be staffed by four doctors and two nurse practitioners.

Officials at Vulcan Real Estate, which is developing Amazon’s new headquarters, said the new clinic will serve the increasing number of workers and residents in the neighborhood.

“Swedish will be a welcome presence in South Lake Union, delivering sought-after health care for workers and residents in the neighborhood,” said Ada Healey, vice president of real estate at Vulcan Inc., in a statement.
